Over the weekend, a friend asked whether I sketched drawings in pencil before I inked, and that had me thinking, hm, I should probably try to do less of that. So here I am, doing less of that, learning to trust my own hands more, working more quickly. If I’d started this in pencil, it’d look far better, but it also would’ve taken 5 times longer (just from the second-guessing and erasing).

Apparently, one’s lack of self-confidence colors nearly everything one does, and it’s times like these when a hug from personal style/everything else hero Elly Jackson is very nice. Just one of those days.
